Trevor Young-Simon, MS, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor here in Houston. My therapy practice caters to the mental health needs of adolescents and women, specifically millennial-aged women. I am most excited about how rapidly my practice is growing, as a result of word of mouth referrals, which makes me very proud. Getting to where I am today has taken an abundance of patience, tenacity and perseverance. When I first began this journey, I was a single mother to a very active little girl. Most single parents would agree, that managing a household alone and pursuing your dreams simultaneously is a daunting task, but I was determine to reach every goal I’d set for myself. Back then, my daughter was my biggest source of motivation. Today, I am the wife and mother of a beautifully blended family of five, who drive me to excel in my career daily. The most important lesson that I have learned is not to short change myself because I can do anything that I put my mind to. I remember dreaming about the day when I would be where I am today. It seemed so far away but I never gave up despite my setbacks. I want my story to inspire other young women to pursue their passions no matter what life has thrown your way. You deserve the desires of your heart so keep going!

My thought process behind starting my own business was fueled by my lifelong passion to help others. Ever since I was a young girl, I have always had the gift of gab and as I’ve matured, I have also developed the the ability to connect with others in a way that has been described as healing. Entering the mental health field was a no brainer and has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life.
